WOOD CORE

All our skis come with a 100% wood core. the core of the ski is what gives the 'feel' to the ski and gives it its main characteristics. In our race skis we use an ash wood core which gives strength and rigidity to the skis, giving them perfect carving capabilities.

SKI RACE EDGES

The ski edges are what keep you and your skis connected to the ground. So we use the best edges we can buy. These are heat treated so are harder and more resistant to dents than conventional ski edges which helps you carve easily all the way down the ski slope.

CARBON FIBRE

We use carbon stringers and sheets to strengthen areas of our skis and this gives higher torsional strength. This stops the ski over twisting when under high loads which is common in ski racing. The carbon stringers also allow our skis to last longer due to the flex not softening with constant use.

FIBRE GLASS

We use two types of fibreglass in our skis construction. Bi-axle and Tri-axle which both have many qualities which are useful in ski race construction. they can aid with flex and torsional stiffness without greatly affecting the overall weight, but can simultaneously improve responsiveness and aid with edge grip.

Polyurethane-Parts-small.jpg

POLYURETHANE

We use polyurethane sidewalls in our race skis as it protects the internal construction which extends the life of the ski. It also reduces vibrations due to the dampening properties in polyurethane. This helps our skis carve smoothly and reduces juddering in large ruts.

SINTERED 7700 BASE

ISO sport sintered 7700 bases are regarded as having the best performance in extreme conditions. ISO sport sintered 7700 bases are made from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, this gives them the ability to absorb the most wax out of any base. Also unlike conventional bases these are more resistant to cuts and gashes from poorly maintained slopes.
